Poraver is heat-resistant light filling materials used in the construction of plasters, ceramic bonding mortars, repair mortar, insulation plaster, light building elements (such as light prefabricated walls) in the construction industry and provides insulation due to dense gaps in it. Poraver is chemical resistant, acoustic, high strength and environmentally friendly building material.
Poraver was the first manufacturer to obtain foam glass granules from waste glass in the industrial field 30 years ago. Poraver’s raw material is derived from recycled glass. Raw materials consisting of broken glass are ground into glass powder by means of collection stations. The mixture is then prepared by adding water, binding agent and expanding agent to the system.
This mixture is processed in glass bowls and becomes a glass sphere. Granulated products are expanded at about 900°C in rotary kilns. With this expansion process, fine pores are formed in the structure of the product. After the cooling process, the product is subjected to sieving process and classified into 6 different sizes.
Dry mortar: Poraver is the most preferred light aggregate in the field of dry mortar, bonding mortar, strengthening mortar, pastes and other building chemical products. Poraver offers exceptional bonding properties, especially with lime, cement and other binders. Light weight makes it easier to process and improves the material properties of our products. Thanks to Poraver, foam glass, industrial products become lighter, high-strength, moisture-resistant, efficient and easy to process.
Gypsum and mortar: Poraver provides high surface properties or high layer thicknesses, making workability significantly easier. In addition to the thermal insulation and sound insulation properties Poraver has in the gypsum and mortar area, it ensures resistance to microorganisms with fire protection plates, A1 and UV radiation.
Tile adhesive: because of its round grain structure, it facilitates the plastering process by creating a ball effect. Light grain weight offers up to 60% higher efficiency compared to standard adhesives.
Pastes: thanks to the low volume density, Poraver pastes provide up to 35% more efficient use.
Bonding and strengthening mortar: with the round grain structure, it ensures an easy process to apply the mortar to the surface and then to process it.
Fire Protection plates: Poraver consists of pure glass. Therefore, it certainly does not burn or produce toxic gases when it comes into contact with fire.
Resin-based bulk materials: Poraver combined with resin is a suitable material for light drain coating in areas such as balconies and terraces. It offers optimum protection against swelling due to its water permeable and cement-free structure.
Light concrete and bricks: high quality bricks are produced with modern forming techniques and material mixtures. Thanks to the light structure of bricks, both transportation and working costs are saved.
Mineral building materials: kitchen countertops, washing tables and hygienic products are obtained with mineral building materials. These materials are both good quality and less brittle.
Wallpapers: Wallpapers are also enriched with white or colored Poraver to provide a more colorful and striking look.
Automotive (light chassis systems): in the automobile sector, emphasis is placed on criteria such as light weight and high strength. Foam Poraver binding materials combined with a mixture of plastic or metal easily fulfill such needs and can be also preferred as mixtures that allow light chassis designs.
